Technical Social Media Manager
About the Role
Hey,
You're the person in the developer community who always has something sharp to say. You post about API design at 11 pm, not because it's your job, but because you can't help it. You've got opinions on the stuff developers actually care about, and you know how to make those opinions land on a timeline.
We'd like to put that to work.
What Hackmamba does
We drive growth and create authentic technical content for the world's best tech companies. Our clients are the developer tools you've heard of and many you haven't yet. Our job is to make their products make sense to the engineers who'd love them, social is a big part of how we do that.
What you'd do here
Own the social presence for Hackmamba's portfolio of developer tool clients. LinkedIn and X are home base. You'd write posts that developers actually engage with, not because they're optimized for reach, but because they're genuinely interesting.
Some of what you'd ship:
Thought leadership posts that position clients as the people worth listening to
Technical takes that spark conversation without being hot takes for the sake of it
Community-building content: threads, replies, reshares that actually add to the discourse
Campaign content tied to product launches, events, and announcements
Trend-watching: if something's moving through the developer community, you're already on it
You'll work closely with technical writers, content strategists, and client teams — so you're not making things up in a vacuum. You'll have context. You'll know the product. You'll write like someone who gets both.
You're probably a fit if
You understand how developers think. You don't have to have shipped production code, but you need to genuinely follow the space, the tooling, the debates, the stuff people are actually building.
You're active on LinkedIn or X. Not necessarily with a huge following, but with a real presence. We want to see how you write, not just what you say you can do.
You're extroverted online. You reply to people. You start conversations. You engage because you find it interesting, not because the content calendar says to.
You can write a post that makes someone stop scrolling. Clean, direct, technically credible. You know the difference between a post that informs and one that actually travels.
You're comfortable managing multiple brand voices. One week you're writing like a database company, the next like a developer security tool, and you keep them distinct.
You're based in Europe or the US and work well remotely.
Bonus points
You've managed social for a developer tool, API company, or technical SaaS brand.
You've grown an audience of your own, even a small one.
You have a sense of what makes technical content work differently on LinkedIn versus X.
The setup
Engagement: part-time to start, with room to grow
Rate: competitive, and we'll be specific once we talk
Where: fully remote, Europe or US
How we work: outcome-based. We care that the content is good and the numbers move, not that you were online at 9am
